Expose as a service

Anonyme il y a 11 ans mis à jour par anonymous il y a 11 ans 1
To use Warewolf, would we need to expose it as a service?

You can also call a workflow workflow from SQL.
See the Samples folder in the Warewolf install directory for an example of this.

Warewolf vs Windows Workflow Foundation

Anonyme il y a 11 ans mis à jour par anonymous il y a 11 ans 0
I've had a look at Warewolf and it seems very similar to Windows Workflow Foundation.
What is the deifference?
Solution

Warewolf is based on Windows Workflow Foundation (WF).
We re-host their designer, hence why it may appear similar.

Here is a quick summary of key differences :

  • Provides wizard driven integration with Web services, Stored Procedures, and DLLs.
  • A custom language to move data around a workflow instead of the standard In/Out arguments.
  • Improve the way a user interacts with workflow tooling by providing adorers to expand a tool in-line to access enhanced functionality. This results in less clicking around.
  • Greatly expanded toolbox functionality. A lot of what you see we have custom built.
  • Simplified re-use. Via our explorer you can drag one workflow into another instantly accessing its functionality.
  • An easy to use visual debugging output, greatly enhancing the usability and maintainability of the workflows you create.
  • All workflows are exposed as web services for system integration purposes.
  • Integrates with Active Directory for security at a server or resource level.

I downloaded the software, have been looking for architectural design docs or such (e.g. on the wiki's) to no avail. Any suggestions as to where I can find the architecture?

Anonyme il y a 11 ans mis à jour par anonymous il y a 7 ans 5
Hi There,
I am unable to install warewolf. System is throwing this error " Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly.... and Installation Failed: FATAL ERROR during installation:   " while installing
Please assist
Thanks
installer

This is related to our VC++ 2008 SP1 x86 prerequisite.
Generally this should not cause an issue, but in cases where a previous install or system update did not complete VC++ can fail to install with Error 1935.

Please reboot your machine and try installing VC++ 2008 SP1 x86 directly from this link http://www.microsoft.com/en-za/download/details.aspx?id=5582
Then try installing Warewolf again.

If the VC++ install fails here are a few references you can use to further troubleshoot the issue as it appears to be a general Windows problem.

Studio needs to restart, if debugging with special character in Result field

Murali Naidu il y a 11 ans mis à jour par Gandalf il y a 11 ans 0
  1. Create a workflow with "Data merge"
  2. Assign [[a]] = warewolf
  3. and [[b]] = rocks the world
  4. Data Merge Input [[a]] and merge type "none"
  5. Input [[b]] and merge type "none"
  6. Result as "[[#$%#]]" (Special characters)
When the datamerge tool is executed
System is unable to execute the flow and then I have to close and reopen the workflow to continue

How do I set the post request body of a web service on the design surface

anonymous il y a 11 ans mis à jour par Gandalf il y a 9 ans 5
I created a source against my local couchdb install (http://localhost:5984)
I then created a web service as seen in the image below
Image 28

I then saved it and placed it on the design surface passing :

{"docs": [ {"_id": "my_doc", "number": 23}, {"_id": "_design/app", "updates": { "accumulate": "function (doc, req) { var inc_amount = parseInt(req.query.amount); doc.number = doc.number + inc_amount; return [doc, \"I incremented \" + doc._id + \" by \" + inc_amount]; }" } } ]}

into the postBody variable and executed it. I got an error message as seen in the image below.

How can I pass JSON data into the request and have it execute?
