Using DLLs
To create a Connector to a DLL so that it can be consumed inside your Warewolf service:
- Click the plugin icon

- Select a Source from the drop down list or click New to create a new one.
- If you are creating a New source from a File
- Browse the tree to find the DLL you are looking for or Enter the full path in the Assembly input box.
- If you are creating a New source from the GAC (Global Assemblies Cache)
- Click the GAC tab.
- Find and click the assembly you want.
- Click Save Plugin and save as needed.
- If you are creating a New source from a File
- Select a namespace inside the assembly.
- Select the action inside the namespace from the list provided.
- If there are any Test Values required, insert test data. This step enables Warewolf to get an idea of what data will be returned from the connector so the output maps can be built. The execution does not happen in a transaction.
- Click Test.
- In Defaults and Mapping, enter any default values you want to use as inputs. These will be used at run time if no data is mapped in or the mapped in data is empty.
- If a field is required for execution, select Required Field. This will ensure a variable or value is mapped in on the design surface when building the workflow service.
- To pass Null when the value is empty, select Empty is Null.
- To rename the output fields that will be seen, simply put the name you would like in the input box next to the name you do not like.
- To not return a particular field, simply remove its name. It will not be mapped out.
- Click OK.
- Save your Connector.
- Locate the connector you created in the Explorer window and drag it onto a service to use it.
